There is one mortal sin that I keep committing in times like this age of modernization

I am human and love all humankind

I have become a plaything at the world’s carnival

Some people deride me or toy with me in crowds

Other times when alone, I welcome each memento with a smile

I am so ignorant, I keep on doing such silliness

Selling happiness and buying tears for my eyes

My hands empty, yet I keep trading others’ happiness for my tears

To construct an empyrean Earth where every human being lives as a part of, not apart from, humankind

I am venturing to work with the land in its entirety via architecture, infrastructure, and all my humanity

For I am human and love all humankind.
